Ziptrek's short tour, just under an hour: two ziplines, a 21-metre drop to the forest floor, then a 10-minute uphill walk on the Tiki Trail. It starts at the treehouse at the top of the Skyline Gondola, and the gondola ticket is extra.
Queenstown: 2-Hour Zipline Tour with 4-Lines
Ziptrek's two-hour tour from the treehouse at the top of the Skyline Gondola: four ziplines that build in length, height and speed, and eight tree-top platforms, with views over Lake Wakatipu to the Remarkables. The operator pitches it at families and first-timers. The gondola ticket is extra.
Queenstown: 3-Hour Zipline Adventure with 6-Lines
Ziptrek's longest tour, about three hours from the treehouse at the top of the Skyline Gondola: six ziplines and twelve tree-top platforms through beech forest, a 20-minute guided walk downhill, and a finish on what the operator calls the world's steepest tree-to-tree zipline. The gondola ticket is extra.
Queenstown: Kawarau Zipride! (Family Fun Experience)
AJ Hackett's Kawarau Zipride at the Kawarau Bungy Centre, 25 minutes from town: a seated zipride over the Kawarau Gorge, solo or side by side, winched back up at the end. Photos and free transport from central Queenstown are included. It is short, minutes rather than hours, and from age 8.
Queenstown: Shotover Jet, eBike, and Zipride Adventure
A self-guided full day by e-bike on the Queenstown Trails: a Shotover Jet ride, 34 to 40 km of trail to the Kawarau Bungy Centre for the Zipride, then a wine tasting at Mt Rosa in Gibbston and a shuttle back. Adults only, confident riders; lunch is not included. No reviews on the platform yet.
